RULES - DAY 1 – PINK BALL + 2 BEST BALL

 

  • Men will play from the White Tees, and Ladies from the Red Tees

 

  • Each player will get a pink ball.  You must use the supplied pink ball on your designated hole.

 

    • A Player: Holes 1, 5, 9, 13, 17
    • B Player: Holes 2, 6, 10, 14, 18
    • C Player: Holes 3, 7, 11, 15
    • D Player: Holes 4, 8, 12, 16

 

  • The A, B, C and D players on each team are by the Handicap Index – lowest to highest.

 

  • The Net Pink Ball Score plus the 2 Best Net Scores of the other 3 players will be added to together to determine the Net Team Score for each hole.

 

  • There are no 3 player team rules, you must have 4 players on your team.

 

  • Playing Handicap Allowance: Men – maximum 28, Ladies - maximum 32

 

  • Bonus Points
    • Return 4 Pink Balls: -2 gets added to your Team Score
    • Return 3 Pink Balls: 0 gets added to your Team Score
    • Return 2 Pink Balls:  +1 gets added to your Team Score
    • Return 1 Pink Balls:  +2 gets added to your Team Score
    • Return 0 Pink Balls:  +4 gets added to your Team Score

 

  • However, players can purchase a yellow ball for 25 SAR.  If they lose the pink ball, they can play the yellow ball with no scoring penalty throughout the remainder of the round.  If a player loses the pink ball and has not purchased a yellow ball, they are required to add 1 stroke to their score on each hole they are the pink ball in TM.  Example:  B Player hits his pink ball OB and cannot find it on 2.  If he has purchased a yellow ball, he can put it in play and use it the rest of the way with no penalty.  If he does not, he needs to take a +1 penalty on hole 2, 6, 10, 14 and 18.  The yellow ball does not take the place of a pink ball for bonus points as seen above. If you lose the yellow ball, the 1 stroke penalty is then assessed as shown above.

 

  • Remember this is supposed to be fun, so please play the game straight.  Trust me we will know if you did or not.

 

  • Top 20 Teams plus ties and the Presidents Team will advance to day 2 and scores from Day 1 carryover to Day 2.

 

RULES DAY 2 – PINK BALL SCRAMBLE

 

  • Men will play from the White Tees, and Ladies from the Red Tees

 

  • Each player will get a pink ball.  You must use the supplied pink ball on your designated hole.

 

    • D Player: Holes 1, 5, 9, 13
    • C Player: Holes 2, 6, 10, 14
    • B Player: Holes 3, 7, 11, 15
    • A Player: Holes 4, 8, 12, 16
    • Any Player: Holes 17, 18

 

  • The pink ball player is the ONLY player to hit from the Tee Box.  Due to Covid, you are using your individual pink ball that you have been given.

 

  • All players will then hit their next shot from that spot. The shot must be played from within six (6) inches but no nearer to the hole. If the chosen ball comes to rest in the rough, then all team shots must be played from the rough as well. Players can place their ball under this rule in all areas of the course.  This format is repeated until the balled is holed.

 

  • There are no 3 player team rules, you must have 4 players on your team. 

 

  • Team Handicap (per USGA Guidelines): A Player 25% + B Player 20% + C Player 15% + D Player 10%.

 

  • The worst hole will be dropped from your overall team score. Worst means highest score in relation to par will be dropped automatically by TM.

 

  • Bonus Points
    • Return 4 Pink Balls: -2 gets added to your Team Score
    • Return 3 Pink Balls: 0 gets added to your Team Score
    • Return 2 Pink Balls:  +1 gets added to your Team Score

If they lose the pink ball, they can play the green ball with no scoring penalty throughout the remainder of the round.  If a player loses the pink ball and has not purchased a green ball, they are required to add 1 stroke to their score on each hole they are the pink ball in TM.  Example:  C Player hits his pink ball OB and cannot find it on 2.  If he has purchased a green ball, he can put it in play and use it the rest of the way with no penalty.  If he does not, he needs to take a +1 penalty on hole 2, 6, 10, and 14.  The green ball does not take the place of a pink ball for bonus points as seen above. If you lose the green ball, the 1 stroke penalty is then assessed as shown above.
